Four Years Laterby KonadorComment: I came back to this because I knew there was some story I was missing. I didn't have time to vote in the challenge, but I had a quick look through and this one did make an impression.
Having read it, and seen the comparison, I'd say it rocks! |

The (Almost) Invisible Manby librodoComment: As another asian resident, I also see this all the time and it bothers me a lot at how callous people are towards these individuals. They get jaded because of so many people who try to make an extra scene of themselves... I've seen people using magic markers, lipstick and nail polish to try to accentuate minor and sometimes non-existant wounds.
So it is not surprising that people are cold to this type of person.
But when you see the ones that are genuinely damaged goods, it is heartbreaking to see the apathy around them.
Your picture has captured a beautiful moment where the innocence of youth shows through as unmarred by the distant uncaring stance of the adults around. Great stuff!
It is interesting to see the difference in individuals in these situations. The ones that are in real dire straits often appreciate a few kind words as much as a small donation. |

daydream by CalliopeKelComment: Long overdue! I really like the color treatment you gave this. So mysterious and intriguing.
A well-deserved top three! |

Blessed are those who waitby facesastheycomeComment: Double your money, double your fun.
I like how there appears to be a couple of applications of the title in this pic. Indeed, you are blessed to get two such relaxed insects so close together, and blessed will be the cricket when it's his (her?) turn...
The only think I don't like is all the distracting background poking through. A closer crop might have helped that as well as brought more detail to our little friends. I might have done a 35-50 degree clockwise rotation as well to make the rectangle fit the petals better as well as re-align the insects in frame... That's just my take on it though. |

All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Goby cutlassdude70Comment: Wow, now that's one desolate BG! I like her makeup.
I feel that something could be done to push her 'look of desperation', but I'm a bit at a loss as to what could be done in Basic. |

The Grass is Always Greener...by mcrochipComment: Or in this case Bluer?
Did you try selective color? or possibly shifting hue?
I was kinda thinking of the same title, but couldn't think of an execution. |
