Aside from the few darker colored things[?] in the upper left and the right center, I really don't see texture here. The pic is blurry, and color is unappealing. This shot doesn't hold my interest other than in questioning what it is. It doesn't demonstrate the skills that I use as criteria for a good shot.

Ooooooh! Fairly risque for this place....but I LIKE it! This is a good example of texture....might have been even better if you had used blue body paint! :)~ I AM serious about that. I do have a suggestion - try to work on the depth issues with focus. Good marks for originality!

While this is a beautiful photo, and all of the elements of the shot possess some sort of texture, I feel that it's too busy for this challenge. To fully demonstrate the texture, I would have selected one of the columns, archways or the window. This would have allowed for a closeup look, and opportunity to be more creative in the technique. This photo does capture my imagination, and I wouldn't mind relaxing there for a while, but when I look at it, I am not inclined to consider the texture, but rather it's cool beauty.

As far as meeting the challenge, your example of texture is good. The technique is good, while I am not a fan of the "band of focus". I don't like the "wallpaper" effect of shooting the item to take up the entire field, and the photo doesn't really capture my interest. I look for more creativity.

Good composition, good example of texture, but the focus and apparent adjustments [or lack of], especially on the right side don't work well. In fact it's too distracting and makes me want to move on. A good photo will capture my interest and will have "sticking" or "gazing" power.
