The Roadby puzzledComment: Really like this one puzzled. The sharpness (graininess, you called it in the thread) adds to it IMO. Especially like that the road is outlined with the reflectors, they look like dots on the sides. Great geometrical symmetry with the guard rails, the reflectors, the pavement, the yellow grass in the ditches, and the green fields on both sides, leading beautifully from bottom left into the earth at top right. That's my take! |

click click clickby SkipComment: As "one of the people in it" (as Jinjit said), let me say, this shot means something to me! What, I'm not sure, but something :o) |

bud1.jpgby muggle_girlComment: Really VERY pretty shot.... did you enter another or skip this challenge? There's certainly a bias against flower shots, but anyone with eyes and a brain would have to give this a generous score. |

obsoletez.jpgby muggle_girlComment: We'll never know, but I have a feeling that this one would have done even better than the castle shot you entered into OBSOLETE (which still smoked mine, lol). Can't agree with smile4me about the frame (just a matter of taste, but it's not to mine), but what I do especially like is the rose itself... backlighting is wonderful, and those 'veins' I guess you'd call them really do give it a wonderful effect. What would you have titled this? |

The Dressby dahkotaComment: Wow, what a provocative shot (maybe a better candidate for the FANTASY challenge instead of LATE NIGHT... maybe?) Remarkably, it's relatively sharp for a 10 second exposure, especially considering her position on the ladder. Even so, I think it still suffers a bit from ever so slight motion blur. I like the exagerated vertical crop, but I think I would lose about 2/3 of the sky. Last thing that comes to mind is the darkness of the area between her shoulders and the next highest rung... her head disappears into the background a bit, as does the left side of the ladder. Probably would've taken a beating with the voters, but wonderfully creative idea. A (6) from me. |
