Sorry but since you were already cropping this shot, why leave in the pole in the upper left corner? Also I would have preferred it had the shadow of the bottle been in the shot, I think a step to the left would have eliminated that pole and kept the shadow, what do you think?

Not a bad shot but I would say the main problem here is that you are shooting against the light, some fill lighting would have done the trick here, also those strong glares on the leaves in the backround would have been eliminated if this shot hadn´t been backlit.

Not bad but a bit flat contrast wise for my taste, did you try boosting it a bit?

Sorry but this needs much better processing to win me over. Keep in mind night scenes are by nature low contrast so you have to process them accordingly for them to pop, try using shadow highlights and then curves or something similar if you dont have photoshop, that should do the trick. Also, aurora/lighting/fireworks photos need something more in the frame to really work, try finding and using some foreground next time, by themselves they are not really that interesting. Sorry for giving you a hard time but I don´t think this shot is bad though, just not good and could have been so much better, I gave it a 5.

Sorry but the extreme oversaturation of this shot led me to click that "2" button, for me the shot is ruined and only reason I didn´t give a 1 is that it meets the challenge. No offense intended, just thought you at least deserved to know why I scored that way.

Think brightening/upping the contrast with curves would do wonders for this shot, also a bit grainy for my taste but the composition and stance of the Mantis are very good, had the image quality been better there is no knowing what I would given but this got a 6 from me.

A bit too dark for my taste and could, think an light s-curve or even auto curves would dramatically improve this shot, not bad though.
