Soft Shoesby MikeOComment: Of course this is just my opinion so just take it like that but I have never ever understood why soft focus was so popular a decade ago, I just don´t like that style. However, this is not a bad choice for a soft focus shot if you neccesarily have to do one but I would probably have rated this higher if it had been pristine sharp... |

Tangoby aznymComment: Very nice, good choice to make this sepia toned. Love the composition and one of the better photos in the challenge, 8 from me. |

In My Father's Shoesby byshenComment: This photo brought a smile on my face, I love his expression. However, even though the quality of the photo is very nice this just looks like a snapshot of your kid to me, a good snapshot but nothing more. I have a feeling I would have liked it more if the horizon hadn't been tilted, if you hadn´t had that shadow in the lower right corner and if this shot had been wider or further away so that I could see the surroundings better. 6 from me. |

AAAAAAAAA!!!!!by larscComment: I like the idea but not the outcome, mainly for 3 reasons. The shoe that is doing the "crushing" is out of focus so you need a smaller aperture to get the whole scene in the DOF. Secondly a small portion of the crushing shoe is overlapping her heel. Thirdly the lighting is very uneven between the shoe and the girl, probably because the shoe is in a shadow and the top half of the girl is in direct sunlight. I really encourage you to keep experimenting as I like your thinking with this but this particular shot isn´t hitting the spot with me, I gave it a 4. |

Shineby pollComment: Nicely lit and cool composition that gives this pair of shoes a little bit of interest, one of the few shots that had just shoes in it that I gave more than a 5, it got a 7 from me. |

Flying shoes.by lucasComment: I don´t know what to say really but the lack of focus REALLY hurts this image, I like the idea though but not the outcome. Also seems you need a faster shutterspeed as the shoes don´t appear to be completely stopped. I gave it a 3 as it at least is on topic. |

Summer Shoesby jmosherComment: I have to say that I would have liked this shot a whole lot better if the feet on the right and left side that are half in the frame were either all in the frame or cropped out of it, as it is they are bugging the hell out of me. I like this shot however, it´s got a nice summer mood about it. 6 from me. |

petiteby whiteroomComment: Nice composition and I like the colour contrast between the red and the black but needs something else to make it more interesting. 6 from me. |
