IMG_5290.jpgby BenComment: Agree with Kronus, love the reflection but I am not really all that fond of the empty space around the wasp, I would have either wanted a tighet framing or crop if your lens doesn´t allow you to get closer than this. If you still want the negative space wich I am not totally against, I would try composing it not so centrally.
Come to think of it, both images you shown me have been a bit too centered for my taste. If I may offer you some advice I would definately get down and study the rule of thirds composition and try using just that for a month or so you know it really well and then move on after you have done so. It´s after all just a "guideline" but a good one and worth knowing. |

Daisy Chainby BenComment: Not a bad shot but honestly, I would probably have given this a 5 in this challenge as I don´t really find it that interesting either. To improve it I would crop out the petals that sneak into the frame from above, compose it more according to the rule of thirds and watch the highlights on the flower, I haven´t checked with a histogram verification but they seem blown out to me, if you use raw I would have darkened it there with exposure compensation and then brightened again with curves or levels or whatever you use. Had you did those three things this would have been a much better image but like I said, not bat at all :) |

I Can See Clearly Now... (IMG_1778-01)by robsComment: This one I like! Excellent capture, I am wondering if you did capture one just after he came out of the smoke, where the biker behind him is still in the smoke but visible, THAT would have been an awesome shot but this is still very very good and a shot I would be proud of myself. I am a bit distracted by the lights up in the left corner, this shot would have much more mysterious and captivating without them, any way to crop/clone/burn them out of the picture? Anyway, NICE :) |

IMG_7596-01.jpgby robsComment: Nice shot, I like the simplicity and bleakness of it but not really a shot I want to be looking at in July, makes me depressed thinking about winter as I am a "summer" person :) Good composition. Just wish it had some cloud texture as this image is still, well, kindof uninteresting and honestly one I would vote 5 if it were in a challenge, opting to go to the next shot. |

fireworks_03.jpgby meyersComment: Nice shot of the fireworks but I gotta say the same I do for most fireworks shots and aurora borealis too. It needs a foreground or something else of interest besides the fireworks itself. I mean, you did a good job capturing them, had the right settings and all that, It´s just that I have seen hundreds of shots exactly like it and don´t find them interesting anymore, they need somthing else in the frame other than fireworks to work for me. |

CRW_0523.jpgby dahkotaComment: This one I like! Great tonality and tones in it. Only to nitpick, I think you framed it a little bit too tight around the feet, I would really like 4-5% more space around them both to the left and bottom but like I said, I like this image and would give it an 8 in a challenge and I am a cheap son of a b***h when it comes to high ratings :) |

CRW_0542.jpgby dahkotaComment: Nice work on the panning and composition, I am not really fond of the blown highlights in the face and would have liked this one better if it had slightly more detail there but overall nice work. |

Carnival Imaginationby annasenseComment: I like the composition here, the slantedness and I agree with Kronus about the "reflections", I also think it looks like that and it puts me off but you are on to something, keep at this editing technique, although I do not love it here I definately think you should keep at it. |

Holiday Shops Revisitedby annasenseComment: Definately an improvement over the original, nice work on the post processing. However, I am not really in the mood for such pictures now during summer, I would have liked it probably even better in the wintertime when it´s gloomy :) Anyway, nice work. |
