Windsurfingby OlyuziComment: Thisis a rather tame moment for a windsurfer. The lack of drama severely undermines the purpose of the photograph. This doesn't feel like stopped motion. It simply feels like the wrong moment caught on film. The contrast on the water is quite nice, however. |

No, I am not catching it!!!!!!!by oksamitComment: Too much motion blur on ball. Subject matter is confusing. Composition is muddled. Lighting is far too neutral. Overall focus is professional. |

Launchedby Patents4uComment: Nice light. Excellent center zone focus. However, your background is incredibly distracting. Also, this shot would be stronger if the foreground was in sharp focus since the action is coming towards the foreground. |

Bang! -- Sore Loserby graphicfunkComment: The lighting on each piece betrays the fact that this is a composited photo. This isn't stopped motion. This is a creation in Photoshop. Additionally, the composition is extremely weak. |

Tiger Talkby elsapoComment: A motionless tiger laying on the ground caught with it's jaws in a wide growl simply isn't sufficient to qualify as stopped motion. |

Grandmother's vaseby neenee1999Comment: Composition is awful. You've cropped off the bottom of your subject! IT's not truly centered! Your use of negative space on the right is sloppy. Since your subject is based on symmetry, then you need to take the time to make it TRULY symmetrical. Be more patient with your work and demonstrate a dedication to craftsmanship. |

The old magic mirrorby rhipsterComment: Foreground is out of focus. It doesn't feel like a deliberate choice. The smoke is too little to be truly dramatic. The lighting is too harsh. Use a softer light source so it will feel less like a photographer's lighting kit next to a subject. Foreground contrast and color saturation is poor. |

Rainbow's crashby menardmamComment: Excellent idea, but the execution is weak. Because of the angle you chose the image appears to be uot of focus or accidentally doubled rather than using a mirror on purpose. Next time consider using a thicker mirror (which will separate the reflect from the water colors even farther) and alter the angle. Work on your focus and exposure as well. |
