Bear River Mistby cools98Comment: Very interesting shot. I love the mist on the horizon. The sky is just a touch too bright IMHO, but other than that, I like it! |

Steedby anthonyczajaComment: I like this shot. I'm not sure about the tilt though. I think it might look better either straight or with more tilt. This shot falls somewhere in between and looks as if it might or might not be intentional. I love the sepia tone. |

My Cozy Cornerby gsalComment: **Critique Club**
Initial Impression:Nice textures.
Detailed analysis:This is a very pleasant shot. It gives me a warm, cozy feeling. I really like the slightly desaturated tones, it really adds to the "rustic" and "charming" feeling of the image. The door is very bright, and the shadow cast by the chair on the door is minimally distracting. Maybe a slight burn on the door would help tone it down just a touch. I also think I would like to see just a tiny bit more cropping out of the left side of the image. The lighting overall is good as is your composition. The textures on the wall and table really add to the atmosphere.
Overall Impression: Nice "warm fuzzy" picture. Good job! |

Fields of Goldby cools98Comment: **Critique Club**
Initial Impression:Beautiful Panorama
Detailed analysis:This is a great panaroma shot. I love the rich golden colors of the safflower. Several comments were made on the choice of cropping, but personally I like it. I'm afraid it may have affected some of the voting because the image can be perceived as being "too small". You did a good job of adhering to the 640 max dimension rule and made the image as large as you could. I love the flowing curves of the hills and how the sky seems to also "go with the flow".
My only nitpick would be the blown highlights in the clouds (dead center), but it's a minor issue that I didn't even notice in my first pass.
I also can't help but wonder what this same image would look like "stretched" vertically.
Overall Impression: Great shot, good perspective. I love it!!! |
