wonderful shot! Lots of drama with the crashing water.
On discussion point (not a problem) would be on the crop. I like that it's wide, but I like it more with a little less on the right of the frame. It drops the surfer to 1/3rd intersection and brings focus to surfer and the crashing wave. No reduction on the comment... it really is just a conversation point.

I'll score this pretty well because I like the concept, but I have one question about the execution. You have very nice rim/side lighting on her chest and left leg yet her face is in silhouette. I think the image would have more impact all in silhouette or all with the very nice side lighting.

I like the concept, but the bright white of the glove really pulls attention away from the little guy's face.

I like the shot, but I think you would benefit from a little more contrast. If you are using an editing application that supports curves you can control the contrast across the train engine without your highlight getting blown out. Good work and thanks for sharing.

I really enjoy the low key treatment of the subject and how the detail in the metal work is highlighted. The one thing the bothers me a little is the out of focus object in front of the helmet (below of left of center in the frame). I keep getting distracted wondering what the blurry object is. Other than that I like that image.

I like everything about this except for the fact that the first nail is out of focus. It's still a good photo, but I think it could have been even better. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent work!
+ The exposure and tonality across her face and chest is wonderful.
+ The eyes are well lit even though her right eye is slightly shadowed.
+ Subtle but nice lighting on the background to give separation.
- The only slight minus... and I had too long a long time to find anything... is the sharp transition from light to shadow where her left wrist is bent. A little abrupt for an image with such smooth transitions.... but so minor I wouldn't have mentioned except to show how well done the overall image is.

Excellent portrait. I do have one comment on the lighting... the shadow to the left of the frame seems to add weight, from a composition standpoint, behind the subjects. Maybe a little light on the background to balance that would help. Of course this is just an opinion.... thanks for sharing the image.

Wonderful composition and great timing to get the right blue in the sky and the right reflections.

It is hard to define the nuance that can take an image from average to extraordinary, but you have found it here. I could probably go on for a page about why I like it.... but you already know all of this because this type of image is not accident. Fantastic work and a 10.
