I feel that the image could have been improved a lot by changing the viewpoint. The rocks in the background detract from the impact of the main subject. The mono effect makes in look a bit flat. What I'm trying to say is the main subject doesn't stand out from the background enough.

Pleasant still life shot, nice colours and contrasting textures. Can't help thinking that the real thing works much better than the photograph so why take the image?? Just the way my mind works, sorry.

Good composition, nice tight crop. Bright colours, certainly backlit. However there are a multitude of backlit leaf shots.
