November - First Snowby GautiComment: An unusual subject, given interest by the snow lying on it. The buildings in background are a bit distracting, the mountain is ok but the light is a bit flat from this angle. I don't know what was around to the left but it seems that the warm light is being reflected from the other side of the art work and that would have produced a better shot. As I said I don't know what was in the background but that's where the light is. Well done though, a six from me. |

Septemberby BudComment: Beautiful, no doubt. I think I would have cropped just a little more from the bottom. The reflection is good but the sky is where its at and the horizon is almost across the middle. Well exposed under tricky lighting conditions, well done, a six from me. |

Augustby ZoomdakComment: I have a thing about horizons, look at other comments I've made and you'll see. It may be an illusion but, the horizon seems to dip to the right to me? Apart from that the colours are great and are wonderfully reflected in the pool. The grasses are nicely silhouetted, there's some sky detail but I can't help feeling there should be something on the right to balance it a bit? Very nice shot all the same, a six from me. |

Novemberby floydComment: Great colours, nicely framed, wonderful lighting. I normally shy away from having people in my shots but in this case I think a figure in a bright red coat walking away, about two thirds of the way down the line of trees would have made this even better, in my opinion. Well done a six from me. |

Octoberby charmayneComment: Beautiful colours, both the trees and the sky. Plus a reflection as well. Only one thing and that is that its very lefty, I mean the eye is lead out to the right by the lake and the reeds and then...there's nothing out there to look at. Perhaps a different viewpoint further along to the right may have been better? (If possible?) Well done anyway and a six from me. |

Novembers free study of colloresby DufusComment: Wonderful image. All those streams and waterfalls lead the eye up to the sumit, just visible through the mist and the colours are superb. If anything it seems a bit over sharpened. Well done, a six from me. |

Novemberby vtruanComment: A very nice view, quite well composed. The tree is well placed against the mountains and the lake. The picnic table on the rise is a bit small a larger object like a building would have been better, (I know there's nothing you could do about that). It seems a bit hazy and it looks as though you've tried to remedy that by sharpening and it may be overdone slightly. If so, a polerising filter may help. Very well done, a six from me. |

November Trainby frumoazniculComment: A nice idea,s elective de-sat? The leaves have also lost their colour and therefore their punch which leaves the whole thing looking a bit flat. A change of veiwpoint would improve the shot, in my opinion. Tighter in to loose the footpath, lower down to emphasize the train and slightly left to loose some of the distrcting background. When composing a shot like this where you have plenty of time, use it and have a good look around the veiwfinder and make sure only the things you want in the shot can be seen. Well done though, a six from me. |

August in Zionby sagestudioComment: Striking image, the colour of the rock is amazing, as is the colour of the sky. If anything I'd say there is a bit too much sky. Also the foreground is very dark, I realise its in shadow and is suposed to be dark but because its not dark beyond recognition it distracts me from the main subject. Well done though, six from me. |
