An appealing image that meets the challenge well
You do indeed get a feel of retro here, in this simple but effective image. The central placing of the vase is key to the whole image, I like the choice of aperture to soften the background done a little. The colours are plain and work well together. It is easy to imagine whiling your time away here. The lighting is good with good detail throughout
I like your image Ronnie I voted it 7 during the challenge and it has been reasonably well received by the voters in what was a very strong challenge, thank you for your entry |

A very appealing image that meets the challenge well
I get an opportunity to add to my earlier comment, I adore your image it is so beautiful, high key with attitude it has been done so well. The snow is so pure and white the way it needs to be with the pony coming through in subtle greys and what a beauty he is, the action of his foot moving through the snow makes it more dynamic. As I look at it more closely it could be argued that the exposure is a little too much with some loss of detail but having said that I think that is what makes this works so well. This is one of those rare occasions where the loss of detail actually adds another element of mystique to the shot.

What a lovely abstract, although its been done many times it needs to done well as indeed you have done here. The colours are superb together with the bold silver trunks it makes for a delightful image. There's not a lot I can add really your settings have obviously been deliberately chosen to give you the long exposure you needed.

I like the bold colours and the simplicity of it all but the real appeal is in the reflections they are what makes the image work so well. The shapes of the reflections are so intriguing and effective and the colours interspersed with flashes of mirror-like reflections amongst them adds to it. Your composition is good but I sort of feel I'd like to see a little more of the object especially against the left side of the frame which has the patch of orange as opposed to a uniform red wall.
