I like the simplicity of the picture. The position of the rings in the frame seems a little off to me--I want to nudge them around a little or perhaps crop it differently. But that's a matter of personal taste, I suppose.

I really like this composition, and it contrasts new and old quite well. (I especially like the cracks on the ground.) I think the colors could be a bit richer (making the ground and leaf darker), and it would be more appealing to me if the tip of the leaf wasn't cut off, but I like it nonetheless.

The palm trees make you want to think "primitive," but the guard rail brings you back to the modern age. I'm not sure that is the contrast you were going for though--it looks like you wanted to contrast the brown palms with the green ones. If that is the case, cropping out the guard rail might have brought more attention to the contrast you intended. Did you take this from a moving car (which might have caused the blurry trees at the bottom)?

I really like the color in this picture, and the relatively unique idea of something "old" actually being the "new" component. The person in the picture at first distracted me, but when I look at it again she (?) seems to add something--maybe balance?

These two objects seemed unrelated, until I remembered/noticed the mirrored background of the iPod. I like the double reflection, the angle and the color.

Interesting concept (it took me a second to realize the split you have in the letter). The lighting feels a little off to me, though I see the thought you put into making the older part of the letter darker while brightening the newer part. The bright white on the left and top is a bit too harsh.

It's a little humbling to see someone have a much more creative take on a subject than I would have had. I thought about taking a picture of an iPod in front of an LP, but would never have thought about spinning it like this. Nice picture.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling from this picture that the flower in the back is looking at the flower that has wilted and laughing. :)
