try to avoid cutting off feet and hands; when they're missing, they distract from the rest of the picture. street photography is tough, especially if you don't have permission from your subjects (or if you don't know if they will come after you). also, shooting midday is tough on the lighting. however, if you have permission, you can get some interesting results by underexposing and using a flash.

nice fit for the challenge. the lighting, though, really takes away. you could either underexpose or wait for a different time of day.

from a composition standpoint, you want the viewer's eyes to move across your photograph. the one way sign and arrow takes them to the edge and right off the picture. try organizing your shots from different perspectives so you can find the one that grabs the eye and holds it.
