It's-PLANE-blueby maurice1Comment: nice effort, but unfortunately, i can only give you points for meeting the spirit of the challenge. this would be more interesting if the subject wasn't so centered, was a little larger, and a little more in focus. |

Blue Smokeby biggood53Comment: nice effort, but a little too shaky for me to rate highly. maybe with a tripod? |

Blue Mooningby cabaComment: i honestly cannot tell what i'm looking at. is it a piece of fruit? i get the humor, but don't really get enough context to be able to step back and really laugh. |

ice cream sandwichby alisasaurComment: nice effort. wish it was a little sharper and that the bottom tip wasn't cropped out. personally, i think shallow dof is fine, as long as the point closest to the lense is what is in focus (i just don't like blurry foregrounds). |

What kind of beetle is it?by WildpurpleComment: can't tell...i know this is a hard shot to catch on the spot, but it would work better for me if it had the whole bug and little sharper focus. |

Mmmmm.... Lunchby bmatt17Comment: ay-yi-yi! i think i'd like it more without the tongue (or with the tongue in focus). |

Searchingby kosmikkreeperComment: nice effort. this is a tough shot, especially when working with live models...my best advice: take lots and lots and lots of shots, ever so slighting adjusting the focus. this would be killer if the focus wasn't so soft. (also, i can't tell for sure, but you might need to clean your sensor; i think i'm seeing a couple of spots that usually only show up when there's dust on the sensor.) |

Park Bench in Shadeby NelzieComment: nice target, unfortunately, a bit out of focus. there is potential here, but you'd need to work on the lighting hitting the nail. |

Lotusby GallatinComment: nice shot. would like it a little less centered and with more reflection. i know it can be tough to get close without falling in (unless you are using a zoom/telephoto). the greenery is somewhat distracting...maybe try a different cropping? |

Dinnerby amsmythComment: nice shot. tad over-exposed. did you use a flash? did you use a tripod? if you get a chance, try shooting this from an angle that includes more of the zig-zag part of the web, and also without as busy a background. these spiders have incredible colors, and don't seem to mind your getting up close. |
