sorry, but a big no go from me. studio shots just don't have a sports action feel to them, no matter how well they're taken. you might get points from the dpc eye-candy crowd, but not from me ;-)

really nice idea, but...if that's what you were after, it's a shame you couldn't have gotten something with a little more symmetry, or without his face being so hidden. these shots are not easy, especially when you have men on base and you have to be ready to shift your focus in a split second. all the same, if you have something in mind, commit to it and go for it, regardless of what else is going on. sure, you might miss something, but you have a better chance of getting what you're after.

nice idea, but a lot of non-contributory dead space on the right. for people that read titles, this one is probably not helping your score. i don't mind the toning, but the image overall seems a little soft.

great graphic image, killed by basic editing. if i were you, i would process the heck out of this thing and print it large and put it on a wall. and i wouldn't think twice about what it scored at dpc...

nice idea, but needs work in post production. first, don't be afraid to crop. all that stuff that's not part of the action needs to go. secondly, there are a ton of tools that you can use to bring out the image, to reveal the details in the shadows. you're on the right track, but you really have to work at it if your going to get the most out of what your camera can do...
