Whoa...I almost missed the wings. If not for the title, I probably would have. This is an interesting shot, and I like the washed-out colors. To be honest, though, I think the lights are almost too light, and the darks are almost too dark.

Something tells me I won't be the first or the last to mention the very bright pine needles at the bottom. The green is quite strong and it pulls my eyes away from the rather spectacular sunset. It is nice that you have something in your shot other than the mountains and the sunset, but this green was too much for me. Good luck.

These shots always drive me crazy when it comes time to post-process, but I think you did a good job. Trying to keep the sky from getting too light and keep the trees from getting too dark is not a fun task. Having the horizon line dead-center feels funny to me here...I think pushing it off-center could have added extra impact to this shot. It is beautiful, and well executed besides. Interesting shot, but I think it's over my head as far as the subtext goes. Maybe not...I mean, she's in a dirty, dark place, and it will be hard to get out, but she knows what she has to do. Too bad she's wearing heels...always hard to climb drain culverts in heels. Good luck.

The colors are very rich here, almost glowing. I like the detail, but I do feel that the saturation is almost too strong. It would make a fine postcard. Good luck this week.

Very sharp focus, and it is nice that the hands of the owner are slightly visible, to show that not only the pig is content. Personally, I feel that some of the impact that is felt by the photographer may not be translated to the casual viewer, but that is often the case with subjects near and dear to the photographer's heart. This is almost more digital art than digital photography...not necessarily a bad thing at all. This is mostly a study in color and shape, and while most everyone would recognize the flower, it is not a typical flower portrait by any means. The colors are amazing, and there is a lot to look at. This is an interesting take on the challenge. The shot almost looks like it was shot with a lens baby, the way that the central flowers are almost still and those on the edges are blurred. While the blurred flowers do add a sense of motion to the shot, there is still an over-all static feel to the shot. Since no two flower pictures will be the same - especially if they are moving - it may be worthwhile to look at different compositions to see if a more pleasing arrangement can be found. Good luck in the challenge.
