- A DPCer's ULTIMATE GOAL -by andrewtComment: Now the mystery of why there is grey around the edges of the drops has been solved. Thanks for showing your set up. Because the white paper was not lit in any way it turned to grey when you exposed for the self-illuminated iphone picture. :)
Good job Andrew. I think that thanks to me not entering we will likely lose the FDPC. Sorry about that. I am certainly willing to give it another go if you are when the second one is announced. :) |

Lifehouseby SteefComment: Wouldn't it have been better to use the title of the band Lighthouse instead? (early 70's Canadian band that had hits like "sunny days")
good luck. not voting on this challenge. |

Hurt coastlineby Rino63Comment: Greetings from Ernie of The Critique Club!
Subject: The photo definately meets the challenge description and is well presented.
Composition: I like the diagonal 2/3 1/3 composition you have used here. (although being afraid of heights I find it a bit dizzying!)
Technicals: Overall exposure is good, but the shot seems to lack some "pop" that would put it into the "wow" catagory when the viewer sees it. Perhaps a slight boost in contrast (making sure the highlights do not blow out) would help.
Improvements: Other then a slight boost in contrast and saturation of the shadow area I think you have done quite well with this image.
I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
