Fading Away...by yael27Comment: First let me say good photograph. Great lighting and focus. And in this picture I think your border works well. Now what I see that could improve on the challenge theme. All candles seem to be set up in a row perpendicular to the camera lens. So it looks as if you cut the candles to different sizes to create the melting away of the candle over time. I think it would have been better to let this happen naturally by having the candles the same size and light each candle about 3 minutes apart to achieve the same effect but we could of seen the wax running down the candles. More on the small candles that has been burning longer and progress to little wax melt on the last candle lit. Good job but I think this could have been a great shot.

Time Passes – Memories Stayby rileyComment: I think your picture would have been more dramatic if you would of cropped more on your subject. Good lighting but the subject has little detail and it is soft focused. I wish you would of zoomed in a little more to get the detail. |

What Once I Wasby karmatComment: Nice photograph, I like your use of duotone it gives this photograph emotion. The sunrays are a nice touch and I also believe the noise in the picture is appropriate. Good backlighting and focus. |

bird 1by gaurawaComment: Great capture in flight. Nice detail, focus, dof, and lighting. I wish his right wing had been a little higher because it blends in with his head and beak too much. Good Job. |

Three-Windowsby jmleliiComment: Very nice photograph I guess I bias towards architecture photography since I have always found the detail exciting. You did a wonderful job with lighting, color, focus, shadows, and detail. I agree with skiprow on lightly burning the tone work near the upper right. But that is about all I see that could improve upon this photograph. If I had to vote on it I would give it an 8-9, which is classified as a great photo in my voting scale. GREAT JOB! |
