I See Youby ImagineerComment: Wow, cool shot! The backlighting and the bug peeking over the edge is fabulous. I can't decide if I would rate it higher than your entry or not, they're both so great. |

risenby antimethodComment: I love the contrast of the pale fog with the bold subject. Very nice shot, it feels full of emotion and mystery? Is there a story behind this? |

Rainbowby PhilipDyerComment: Congrats on your excellent placing! Didn't get a comment written on this one during the challenge, but I love the contrast of the bright colors against the neutral background, and also the great lines made by the placement of the pencils.
A very dynamic image! |

Smile... before you drop!by photoleonComment: Wow, now that I read how it was done, I like it even better! Cool!
I thought it was a little tiny happy-face sticker stuck on the backside of the drop. But this is way cooler! Nice work. |

Pineappleby jduffettComment: Nice lighting, great colors. Pushing the limit of macro, this isn't that close to the subject, but it's beautiful, so I'll give it a good score. |

If You Can Read the Bottom Line, Have Anotherby dave2119Comment: Awesome! A great, clean, attractive image! Brilliant concept. Smooth color. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this image.
The only thing is, I thought it was a pint glass at first, and thought there was some kind of weird perspective distortion going on to make it look squatty. Then I thought, that's not even close to macro in my eyes. But this actually seems to be a shot glass, eh? In that case, it's cool. MY PICK for #1 |

Teardrop by prozacComment: Awesome! I love the detail in this image. Is that corn syrup? It doesn't look like water. :-)
Great color tool! My only criticism would be that there are some JPEG artifacts i n the upper leftish corner, on the bottom side of the left edge. And the other edge of the leat has some sharpening/JPEG artifacts as well. But I'll try not to let that distract me from this great, simple composition!
This should get in the top 20, though that might be hard because of the sheer number of entries... |
