Sky is quite dramatic and lends itself quite nicely to add interesting drama to this shot. Clouds almost appear to carry the hat away off into the breeze.

Returning for a revisit. I think this sky is quite fascinating and your post processing almost lends a surreal beauty. I think you did a good job in creating a lot of drama here. I question whether you used gradient density effects on this image, as under basic editing rules, that is to my understanding forbidden. I'll assume your editing steps were within the limits of the challenge rules. Well done!

I like this a lot, almost the best of the grass blowing in the wind entries. My beef with this from an artistic viewpoint is the skewed horizon. Purely an artistic and subjective distraction in my opinion. You and others may disagree, but ultimately that's my final impression. Nice job with the interesting sky and composition otherwise. Tonal range is very pleasing and the image has just the right amount of sharpness, detail, and motion blur. Well done.

I like your B&W treatment of this photograph. Nice exposure and tonal range. Focus appears to be a little soft on the leaves and stalks. Nicely captured to sufficiently convey your message summarized in your title. The sky lacks depth to give this picture more of an interesting framework. I feel that's the largest shortcoming of this otherwise excellent photograph.

JPEG compression a bit too harsh I'm afraid. There are unsightly artifacts introduced by the compression settings when you saved this file.

I think this is adequately meets the challenge requirements. Technical deficits unfortunately detract from this photo.

Lacks fine detail. Appears to have been sharpened too zealously evidenced by strong halos around the edge details. I think you chose an interesting way to represent wind in this photo, and to your credit, it was a creative attempt. Unfortunately the execution was hampered by technical deficits.
