Starry nightby Patents4uComment: Ohh....very pretty. I like the backlighting and most of all the shadow of the star. Very tastefully composed.
Detracting issues:
- Appears to be a horizontal (to axis of sensor) banding noise pattern reminescent of a Canon 20D probably due to the use of a faster ISO setting.
- Image has a lot of detail, but there is significant jaggies due to very strong edge sharpening. Consequently, overall image integrity has been compromised to a degree.
- Colors are just a bit flat. Could have been spruced up with a quick saturation adjustment. I like the colors and the warm color balance...this is really a minor issue.
Overall, this is a very good submission. I will rank this as one of my top picks. |

Homage to Jacko & Rackat by hughletherenComment: Excellent creativity! I think you executed this one very well. Must have been difficult to get the water drop just right. I wish you had addressed the glare on the table surface. Other than that, executed to perfection. |

[no] Angelby redmoonComment: Clever and humerous take on the famous DPC original. Brought a chuckle out of me so this is a success in my book. |

Tribute to Smokeditor by SondaComment: Quite an excellent recreation of John's excellent Defining Features entry. This is very comparable in technical quality. Lighting is just a little bit more harsh. Well done. |

My Point of Viewby soupComment: Excellent recreation of jpoole's illusion entry. I prefer this one to the original due to better lighting and focus. One recommendation: use heavier stock paper. |

Zahalenaby sahkoComment: Good entry. Doesn't quite have the same excellence in lighting as kiwiness' original but a good portrait on its own merit. |

Sunriseby agwrightComment: Doesn't quite have the same color saturation. A shame, because I really like this a lot. You could have easily matched Dan's colors with a quick levels/hue/saturation modification in Photoshop, after cleaning up the image a bit with a noise removal tool (which you may not have access to, so I won't hold that against ya). |
