L'amour Éternelby fotodudeComment: I like the lighting and the soft colors which complement the gemstones. I think the DOF could have been reduced just a hair to allow better focus on the two red stones. |

Diamond Wedding Ringby -crtComment: Wonderful presentation and the lighting is excellent. I wish there was a little bit better focus on the center stone, however, as it's slightly blurry. Overall excellent! 8 |

Writing a Love Poemby admart01Comment: I like the soft diffuse lighting and the message is great. While the white space in the top corners, representing a white backdrop, are not necessarily distracting, perhaps a different backdrop could have been more effective, like a more subtle shade, or a textured surface like wood. Overall a fantastic entry! 8 |

Pearlby nrulkovComment: I like the composition with the item set in the lower left third, and nice bit of negative space. What I think could have been improved upon is the lighting off the pearl. There's quite a nice contrast lighting on the metal, but the pearl appears to be too dark relative to the rest. I suggest perhaps shining a soft light from the top right to create a spotlight like effect, which illuminates the immediate vicinity of the item. This would also aid in grounding the object and thereby give some frame of reference. |

Stone Cold Suicideby ArtysteComment: Love the humor in this shot. I think this succeeds in where many failed in that while others have placed elements of all three (which I don't feel was necessary) items, yours actually has a coherent and effective composition. Well done, this is my top pick for this challenge. 10 |

The SALOON - 1880by GringoComment: Well this is a pleasant surprise. I finished voting on this challenge a few days back and here's another pic out of the blue.
I really think this is excellent work. Nice use of toning and subtle yet effective dodging and burning to achieve a very nostalgic look. I particularly like the way ivy on the right side stands out nicely. 8 |

Albino Peacockby ShannonComment: Excellent and distinctive! I like the clean processing and clarity of the feathers. There's a slight muddy cast to the feathers which probably reflects the true colors of the bird but probably could have brightened up in the processing. Still a fantastic entry. |

Golden Lightby elsapoComment: There's a soft glow about this picture which accentuates and flatters the model. Lovely colors and clean, unobtrusiive processing. |
