Just Jewelry (oh, and some text too!)by george crawfordComment: Wow, this is excellent. The DOF could be a hair wider (and consequently the necklace a bit sharper at the ends) and the lighting could be a bit softer to reduce that prominent shadow. The reflection, though, is a very nice touch. |

Speak Her Language!by SunnieeComment: Love the soft focus and flattering lighting. A great entry for this challenge. I see you left some space below for lettering. You could have used it rather than incorporating it into your title (or place it in both places). However, no deductions for a lack of writing. 8 |

a diamond is forever by hopperComment: Very professional lighting! Great photography. The processing left a slight halo around the kiss and rings which is slightly distracting, which considering this is supposed to be an ad, may be more of a factor than in other challenges. This is clearly one of the stronger entries though. 8 |

Bentleyby ChinabunComment: This is not a Breitling. Aside from that...excellent, sharp focus with nice clean processing. |

Fake Rolexby alanfreedComment: I love the humor in this! Nicely lit, though the lighting is a bit harsh evidenced by the shadows on the face. Sharp, clean. 7 |

Diamond Cuff Linksby cajayComment: Lovely clarity and DOF. Lighting is even and reflections very well controlled. Processing is very sharp, clean, without distracting artifacts.
The lettering is just fine, but it can be improved upon. I suggest a sans serif font, perhaps in all caps, minus punctuation, sized a few points larger.
Overall a fantastic entry and I can easily see this as an advertisement. 8 |

PURE PEARLSby mkirdalComment: Lovely lighting. Not sure of the use of the glass as a prop, and it has a slight counter-clockwise tilt. However the jewelry is quite flattering.
This image has a lot of sensor noise and considering the theme of advertisement, where image is crucial, it is more of a factor than in other challenges. |

History In The Makingby RedOakComment: Fantastic. Love the lighting here. Very sharp, clean, and detailed. I think you did an admirable job in controlling the reflections. I would suggest resetting the hands to the classic 10/2/8 positions as you have already stopped them with the crown pulled. 8 |

Be the light...by ShamanComment: Yikes!!!!
It may be just me, but that candle and eerie red glow is rather frightening. Otherwise, I think your concept is good, just fails to deliver the right feel. The image is sharp, detailed, and processed cleanly without artifactual distractions. Good luck. |
