"He's always watching"by jmassungComment: Ah, the reflection of the light and your title allow me to ponder the flipside of Santa. That threatening list... Nice use of golds and yellows to create a Christmassy feel. Great framing and use of light. Captivating, thought-provoking image. Nicely done. I feel a creative mind with a bit of an edge at work here. I have to admit, I like it. |

My 4th-Grade Authority: Sister Mary Not-Amusedby sibelingComment: Gotta love a sense of humor, and oh, that threatening ruler, blurred in movement. I am not sure of the map image, maybe it is to give a feel of the classroom or to help us set this in the United States. I love the angle, the point of view, and that hilarious expression on the nuns face. As a troublemaker, I have been on the receiving end of that expression many, many times. You absolutely nailed this challenge. I feel like I am a little kid again...in trouble again. Masterful. |

Authority of the Privilegedby JEFFJSBComment: The framing of this photo truly make me feel as if I have walked up to this beach and been stopped cold in my tracks. The harsh light on the sign emphasizes its harsh message. The like the use of space and the only shadow I can really see being the shadow of the sign, hiniting at what lies behind it perhaps? The fact that the sign is slightly angles away, whether intentional by the artist or not, makes me almost feel as though I have to look around it to read it better. This photo works well for me. |

An Exercise in Defianceby yuormeComment: Great use of warm colors to mirror the child's anger. Brilliant tilted angle and use of lighting. How did you get the child to show that expression in his face? Too perfect! Thanks for sharing. The size of the pen add to the extreme, over the top feeling of this photo. Artfully framed. Fantastic Shot! |

My Bossby JCDeanComment: Funny picture, great job capturing the humor and ability to laugh at one's self in this woman. I like the green shir and the bround eyes. Nice job with no reflection on the glasses. Did you remove the frames? If not, how did you do that? Great framing. Great picture. |

The Master's Touchby ryceComment: I don't know how this convey's authority, but I like the personality the photographer captured in the dog's expression. He looks unhappy to me, eduring this bath. The lighting is a distraction on the dog, but it enhances the human arm. |

I'm the boss here!by gedisaComment: Good thing someone is taking charge, or cats would rule the world. Cute image. Nice sense of fun and interaction between the cat and the woman. |

Matriarchby BibliophileComment: Great angle. Great expression on your subject's face. I like that she is looking to the future, almost seeing her future generations. I see pride and determination in this woman's face. The only flaw I see is the glare on her glasses. I know that is so hard to get rid of, but it really does distract from her face. Nice thought out. Powerful image. |
