the bossby ursulaComment: Good choice to desaturate. I would crop the picture to focus even more on the subject's face, the power in this picture. Cutting the horse's face in the middle is awkward. I like your use of shadow falling across your subject's face, giving him a certain hardened mystique that seems to go hand and hand with the cowboy image. I would like to see the focus a little crisper on the subject's face. |

time for your chores, little oneby petrakkaComment: This makes me feel like an abused child. The facial expression, point of view and distortion at the top of this image makes it horrifying. Interesting symbolism with the broom. |

Don't Ask Don't Tellby bobgaitherComment: I am so sorry, but I don't get it. Please feel free to send a message and explain it to me. Is there some homoerotic imagery that I am missing, or maybe a subtle symbol I am overlooking? |

"This looks like a job for..."by grainman9Comment: Creative and risky. Fun idea to play around with light and shadow and the placement of your subject within the frame. Brilliant framing. Kudos to you for guts and daring since this tends to be a very traditional and narrowly focused forum. Keep pushing that edge and kicking at the boundries and maybe we will get these people thinking in terms of artistic merit and something marvelous may come of it. |

Banana Republic Authorityby graphicfunkComment: Great concept and clever title. The image rings false in that the clothes are too clean and the tears in the shirt too fresh. Pay attention to those details so that your work transcends and becomes real, not staged. Again, great premise, nice use of light and shadow. |

Authority in Chessby setechaComment: Nice idea. The use of color and the framing/composition work very well in this photo. I like the soft focus on the pawns and the crisp focus on the King and Queen. |

We just found them here Sister... honest by ColeyComment: What is it with nuns, rulers, and authority? Seriously, great subtle images in this shot. I find it interesting that we are looking down on the nun. This shot is too well set up for that to be a mistake. I am curious about why you chose that particular angle and point of view. |
