I will not...by MightyMouseComment: I think I had this habit in grade school...the one about writing I will not... Nice Picture, great dof. Maybe deeper bite marks to emphasis the habit would make this stand out a little more. Still a good shot. |

Badby daisy77Comment: I like the white ashtray against the dark background here, it really makes it jump out at ya. However It also makes the cropped edge of the ashtray stand out. I like the simple approach that you have taken but I don't think that I would have cropped it the same way. I would have included the entire ashtray and might have left a bit more on top to catch a little more of the smoke. Just my thoughts. |

Mother Gooseby cbellerComment: Very nice composition, great dof to keep us in the center. I would have left just a bit more on top to match the bottom of the picture to move the (entire) mother goose nearer the center of the shot. Still high marks. |

Candleby DufusComment: Cool Idea, I like what you did with the levels. The flame does keep us in the center of the picture. I would have stayed square with the crop but I think I would have left just a little more outside of the ring. Good shot. |

Bloody painkillers!by hjordstComment: Excellent choice for habit. I don't know if I would have used red for the background in this shot. I can't seem to tell where the glass ends and the reflection starts. If I was going to shot this with a mirror, I would have chose a darker neutral color and used a lessor angle on the shot. Honestly I don't think I would have tried the mirror here, instead maybe near the kitchen or bathroom sink or on a vanity to give the rich person habit feel. |

Please, Just This Once?by frychiknComment: Great choice for a habit. As the picture is I think the lighting could be a little better. To really stress the habit, I may have added the human element by having just the hands of someone holding the fanned cards in from the bottom, to give the sense that someone was looking into the cards. There is a lot of white in this shot, I might have staged this on woodgrained table/desk just to add a little more color. Add a cigar and a few beers (this is a boys in the kitchen setting) and you would have have many habits in one. Good shot though, just seems a little staged without the human element to me. |
