Old Abandoned Tractorby SammieComment: Thsi is the best farm equipment photo yet. The big tire shadow detracts some but I like the strong lighting and the gorgeous setting, clouds, mountains, snow, and preplowed field.
A 9 for artistic merit. |

Water and Rustby egillibsenComment: Nearly perfect for me. The heavy shadow at top of right pier is somewhat disconcerting.
9, but wish I could give a 9,5, it is that close. |

Big Erector Setby bobdaveantComment: Excellent framing of Empire State Building which seems to disappear into a heavenly light. I would have preferred though that you would have used photoshop to make the lines near the left and right edges vertical. I feel like I am looking at the leaning tower of manhattan oon the right. Additional lighting on this side of the erector set would also help. Large expanses are only in silhouette.

Old machinery, classic designby sfaliceComment: Very nice. I would have liked the right hand side to end all the way out at the edge of one of the cups, preferably the fourth, but if not possible, the third. I like the framing / cropping at the bottom, but think we see just a tad too much uniform blue at the top. I like the blue / orange contrast.

Sheep and Rusty Contraptionby BobsterLobsterComment: Sheep and rusty contraption are splendid. Unfortunately even with panoramic clipping the background bothers. I suffered the illusion, perhaps because of lack of color, that I was looking downhill toward the edge of a pond or the sea. It took some time to convince myself that sheep and contraption were on the level and what I took to be water was the rise of a hill behind.
So an 8, not a 10. |

The Rusted Lifeby kghoshalComment: I love it. I could be critical of tocus and glare, but I love the picture exactly as it is.

Rusty Rooftopby vernabethComment: Very lovely. I would have liked to see more at top, less at the bottom and right hand side. The framing / cropping on the right is ideal. I love the bread shaped mound of hay in the background.

Rusted Ironwork Detailby DhryComment: This is a creature of the sea, an octupus, a sun star fish and the blue background perfectly complements it. The lighting is harsher than I would like with unfortunately strong glare and heavy shadows. A little later in the day this would have been a 10 for me.

Rusted but Trustedby geewhyComment: Your title would be more compelling if we saw someone foolishly climbing this perilous looking ladder. However, I am not going to judge the title, that is easily changed. I really like the composition and point of view of this picture, the lighting, depth of field, colors, and especially the patterns in the water/mud are all excellent. What keeps this from being an outstanding picture for me is that the ladder takes the eye to one of the most uninteresting parts of the photo.
