Falls1.jpgby jmleliiComment: Nice take! I've always seen waterfalls overexposed so much that they look like a flowing surface. Over here, I love the fact that that this photo is different. Also, the water texture goes hand in hand with the texture of teh stones around it. But the rock at the bottom is kind of distracting. |

Autmn Abtract 2 dpc.jpgby BADDBOYY21Comment: Hmmm....well i dont like this as much as I like your moon shot...It feels like its just a shot of trees and not of anything else. It sure is pretty...well I dont know what you were thinking/ your idea behind this shot...but to me, its just a tree shot...and doesnt kindle my imagination
I'm not trying to offend you. I just think that a photo starts appealing to people and gets that "wow" factor when it tries to more than just document...Oh, well, cliched words....let me try to explain better. If you were trying to show the autumn colours, something more close, or more generic (e.g. a leaf almost falling down, a bright green tree alongside one which is shedding etc might portray that better) I hope you get my point. Do keep trying.
Sups

pantsby horsemadgirlComment: Nice. I wonder what you were trying to portray. cant seem to find any message in the photo... (or maybe my dead imagination)
Have you tried a high contrast version of this image? might look different. |

pathby horsemadgirlComment: Nice photo. A couple of suggestions. As previously noted, clouds or something in the sky would have made the photo more interesting. Alternatively you can probably try shooting the photo with no sky...That would be kind of interesting.
When I see the picture, my eye follows the curving path and leaves me wondering as to whats ahead. Just cutting the sky out and focussing on the greens and the path might add to the mystery.

Big Brown Eyesby RikkiComment: That is an absolutely cute monkey. I do have a few comments/ideas about the photo though. I guess the reason for your hand to be in the photograph is to show how small the monkey rerally is...i.e. provide a reference. I would have liked to see a tighter shot, with the Tarsier filling much of the frame. |

Cribbageby LadeeMComment: I might be repeating what some others said...but here's my 2c.
The blurred peg is distracting. I did understand from your post that thtas how you wanted it to be. The problem is that its right in front, in the center of the image, and when you see the image, you tend to want to look at the in-focus peg ahead, but your eye keeps getting drawn to the out-of focus peg in a distracting way. It might have been better to rotate your image a bit in the anti-clockwise direction (while shooting) so that the blurred peg is not right in the middle and somewhere to the side, preferable on the rule-of-thirds line. |
