Stillnessby AmasonComment: Beautiful shot. Nice composition, great capture and very crisp. Personally, I think the border is a little too much. Otherwise, I love it. |

Supplicationby CutterComment: My monitor doesn't distiguish the black range very well. With that in mind, I still find myself wishing for a little more detail in this image. The concept and timing are good and the sky is really nice. |

Disturbing the Peaceby espy2Comment: That's interesting. The color pallete is lovely. Also like the movement created by the dock poles. Fascinating shot, although I'm seeing some artifacts that detract from it a bit. |

The Crow in The Cemeteryby Shan2112Comment: What a nice, evocative image. Good choice of the blue. It creates a feeling of desolate solitude that one would expect to find in a cemetery. I'm seeing some artifacts, but that's the only thing I can find wrong with this shot. Great job. |

Butternut Squashby MsMiaComment: Congrats on such a high score on your first entry. You have a great eye for color. I love the color and composition on this shot. I believe either one would have done equally well. You're off to a great start! |

Train-7.jpgby VanBergenComment: Well, I'm on my second glass of wine, so you might take this with a grain of salt. IMO, it's not a bad photo, by any means.
As far as train images goes, I'd say it's average. It seems a little flat, and the composition doesn't really move me. The bridge and wind sock are a bit distracting; and I'm partial to compositions with an odd number of subjects. There are just so many shots similar to this, that a person would have to do something extraordinary to raise the bar. Not to say that there isn't a lot of opportunity to find a unique angle or candid at this location. Message edited by author 2006-01-27 22:29:24. |

This Old Houseby pitsamanComment: That is one cool old building. This image makes me wish I were there so that I could explore the whole place. Interesting, sharp, nice composition and processing. I'm wondering if it's just my monitor, or if the green is a little strong. Perhaps that is what you are going for, but I find myself wondering what it would be like if it were just a tad warmer. Regardless, it's very nice work. |

Landscape Archby turdaveComment: I saw a video where a chunk of an arch fell down right next to some people. Looked just like that one. Cool shot. Makes me wish I could go out West again. |

Restfulby ArtanComment: Crisp and clear with nice colors. Such a scenic place. My only thought is that it seems slightly busy. Still really beautiful. |
