Pretty cool shot. The green background adds to the "alien" theme. Really like the composition. I'm not an expert at processing, but I think I see compression artifacts?

That's not a preying mantis, though. It's most likely a wheelbug nymph. They are one of my favorite bugs, but watch-out, they have a mean bite!

I really like this. The darker background behind the branches keeps it from being too busy. The balance is nice with the lighter color and negative space in the upper third. Nice contrast between the crisp, sharp branches and the soft background. Good composition. Thanks for commenting on my sunset image.

I do have one nit-picky question...why the lint on the ladybug? Maybe I'm over-critical, but it keeps catching my eye.
