my opinion: crop it tighter right under the navel, convert to black and white and being able to see the eye.. those things would improve this image. however its not hurting my eyes to look at it ;)

the speck of blue or whatever around the whiskers, bottom center, drew my eye instantly. Don't ya just hate basic editing? beautiful cat, its so hard to shoot an animal in low light but this looks great. Love the reflection in the eye.

While shooting for this challenge I had a similar look on a photo I took, where a part of the face was sticking out of the blackness.. I wish I could have edited it out but couldn't, so I decided on another shot. This is great, but imo I think it would look way better with the right side of the face burnt out to black and there only be half a face.. cute kid and great shot :)

not too many animal photos in low light turn out well, but this is definitely an exception to the rule. I love the golden look, the light in the eyes, a really nice photo... beautiful pet also :) 10
