"Surprise from a Penny Jar"by tfarrell23Comment: NICE!!! I think this really captures the idea. From the photography point of view, i like how you have the other pennies more in focus, thus creating the illusion that it's still just one out of many, and that one just happend to turn up. Pity you didn't just happen to find a VDB one. |

Texas Hold'emby WebHornComment: this is a nice photo, and i liked it, HOWEVER, i don't feel as if it really captures serendipity, since no one is "making happy and unexpected discoveries. " (Going to use a double negative here but try to make sense of it.) It's not not unexpected, like a game of chance like this would expect a person to at one point or another in the game to get a hand like this. Also, something that would be explained more would be nice. I had to get a friend who knows about texas hold'em to explain what was going on. Also, from a photography point of view, i would have liked more emphasize on the cards being turned over, and thus increasing the emphasize on the serendipity. A 6 in my book. |
