Dice Cubesby DCThiessenComment: The only thing I can say about this is the reflection on the glass is a distraction from an otherwise great image. This is a great creative twist from the many still lifes which include a glass. The sparkling water / bubbles is a great touch that sets this apart. |

Pricklyby scottwilsonComment: Nice contrast, clean background. I find the perspective to be a bit too direct though. Perhaps there is amore artistic angle, or some shadow play to be had from this subject? |

stare chairby surenComment: Nice clean background, and the grainy quality works with the simplicity of the image. The longer I look at it the more I see an optical illusion with the perspective... Interesting. I'd like to see a bit more detail in the wood (more lighting), but perhaps this is what you were going for. |

Pianoby chookieComment: I like the light reflections on the piano's woodwork, and the panoramic format lends itself well to the subject. I would suggest rotating the keyboard to align it with the lower image frame. |

Flotsamby BikeRacerComment: I'm not nuts about the square aspect ratio for this work, but it's a catching and unique subject. Excellent job with retaining detail in the ground texture. |

flower image 11 18 04.jpgby hardwaybetsComment: Seems like if you could underexpose by 1 stop or so you'd capture more detail. Some of the bright spots are on the virge of loosing detail, and the shadows are your friend when trying to instill depth in an image. I like the contrast of the red surrounded by green, and the clean an non-distracting background the green makes. It would also be interesting to shift the perspective to emphasize the intricate tip of the flower and slightly allow the petals to drift out of the focus. You might try to get the "film plane" parallel to the leaves if you try that as it will help to keep the depth of field even. |

Teenage Wastelandby TuckersmomComment: Cropping out the lower part of the window creates a speed bump when viewing the image. A lower point of view might have helped to get it into the frame. |

Glass Fountainby theflyComment: Whoa - that's pretty cool. Lends itself well to b/w given that the shapes and contours are more important than the individual elements. Nice point of view as well - the sky makes a great clean background. |

Quiet contemplationby magicshutterComment: Good pose, but I think the lighting / shadows need some work. I'm not seeing enough constrast between the facial features, hair, etc. |

Mic & Bassby BeeGeeComment: Creative use of depth of field - very interesting work which compelled me to spend more time studying it. |
