mirror by NaldComment: W00t! Another image of the Salt Lake Temple. Talk about a calm day ... no wind in sight. And what lovely exposure!
Congrats on the blue! :-)

Bride in the Breezeby lovethelightComment: I love the wind. So many brides worry about the wind and their veil and such ... I think it adds a lot of energy to the shot. I think your crop and framing on this shot are working quite well. The DOF throws the background out of focus, while the brick pattern still makes it interesting.
If anything... probably the only thing I'd change would be to go to an 8x10 crop to remove the black off the right side. Crop just inside the edge of the veil. I usually post my images as full 4x6 proofs and crop later, so I understand you may not have cropped at all. And that's perfectly fine, but it was the only thing I could add to what you already have! |

Bride on the Riverby lovethelightComment: OH LOVELY! That one is just going to look gorgeous as a huge print. See if they will go 16x24 or even 20x30 on it. I would keep the 2:3 aspect ratio you have here, because the "negative space" from the height of the trees adds emphasis to her.

Orchardby lovethelightComment: I LOVE the wind, the back lighting and the colors. The image shows a very soft and delicate bride. Very feminine. The pattern from the grove of trees is interesting to in that it works well to both frame her and lead your eyes to her. Great composition you've got there.
The one thing I wonder about ... is her extended hand. It begs the question, why is it there? I mean ... I *like* that it is outstretched. I like how it adds to the composition. I think it's the position of the hand that leaves me wondering, why? If she had turned her hand over (facing upward, back edge of the hand toward the camera rather than the thumb) so that looked more like she was inviting or something with her hand. Or grab the lower part of the dress and pull it up to add two angles instead of just one. Anyway, processing on this image is superb. That hand position is the only thing that could be improved.

You make me shineby mflakkeComment: Now this is what I consider "out of the box" and yet 100% right on target. I "get it". And I get it without the title. But the title just makes me smile. Nicely done! |
