Cute candid. I love taking pictures of kids at the wedding. Well done.

I like it. I go back and forth on selective desat, sometimes I like it, sometimes not so much. I just did another one myself last week and the bride loved it. So what really matters is what they think. I think they'll like it.

Love, love, love this image. Genuine emotion. A story being told through their actions. It's just perfect, I wouldn't change a thing.

I like the candidness. I like the back lit hair and I don't mind that they are slightly underexposed. What's distracting is the background, it's just a little bit too bright. In this case, it might have been better to meter the background and then under expose the background a bit and let your flash fill the men in to even out the exposure. I realize in bright daylight that might be hard to do. And a reflector doesn't do much good if you're shooting candids. So sometimes you just get what you get. :-)

You could try loading this into PhotoShop and using a multiply layer (masking out the men and anything that's not a highlight) just to see what that will do to the background. I wouldn't darken it very much ... just enough to bring it back.

I think I'd burn the wood and dodge his face a bit. Your eye tends to go to the lightest part of the picture and that is the wood leaving the little boy's face lost in the image. But I do like the expression here, he seems genuinely excited about something.

The only trouble is, if you hadn't said this was from a wedding, I'd have no idea. It could be that the kid is on the stairs of his own home playing around. My point is, while this image is fine on its own, you'll want to shoot other images of him that connect him to the event somehow.

Yes, I like this one more as well, for similar reasons as to what was already mentioned. But I also like the slight color in the sky - much more so than the black sky in the first photo. The color in the sky gives it a little more life.

For me, the color version works better. But I'm not a big B&W aficionado.

Bold. Striking. Those are the two words that immediately came to mind. Nicely done!

Very pretty. And nicely photographed too. :-)

Definitely worth more than a 5.9!
