Vanishing Chordsby LlamboComment: Mmmm, very nice composition and crop. I love the deep dof. The textures are great too. An all-around outstanding job. Meets the challenge perfectly, and creatively! 8.
PS: is that an Ovation? |

MKT Trail, Columbia, Missouri-2004by dustin03Comment: Something about this image really works for me. I'm a sucker for lonely, barren shots. I'd have liked to maybe see the colors of the leaves pop a bit more (adjust levels, increase sat?). How did you find such colorful foliage in Missouri this early in August? |

Pedestrian and cyclists onlyby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: A shot that truly meets the challenge. I like your choice of b&w and the starbursts on the lights are great. This is a classy shot. Should be top 20. |

Disappearing fenceby KiwiChrisComment: This is a beautifully evocative image. The lonely twisted fence, the expanse of water, the isolated shrubs on the left, just beautiful. I think a few alternative crops might have enhanced it though. I think the submerged stick on lower left is somewhat distracting - but cropping the left would have removed the nice shrubs. Cropping the bottom would have removed the reflection of the foreground post. Ah, what to do. I'd also like to maybe see some levels adjustment to see if the sky could "pop" more. Anyway, beautiful shot! 8. |

Fields of gold by marboComment: The tones, the depth, the sheer scale of this image works very well. I've come back to it several times and can't find a single thing wrong with it. Beautiful work. 10. |

foxgloveby peeceeComment: Very nice! You might want to consider a crop that will highlight the bees as your primary subject. I'd recommend cropping down to the principle flower and the bees and creating a nice composition using mostly the left-hand side of your original photo. |
