I am not sure why this image scored as low as it did as it is well photographed and composed.
The lighting circumstances appear challenging and you have done well to make an image here.

Perhaps the girls face is a little too deep in shadow and eye contact would have improved this picture.
The one comment received seems to have hinted at this as the reason that this image was low scored.

Personally I like it and find it to hit the challenge. The girl looking out of frame adds to the story telling
aspect but I think that it would benefit from space to the left for her to 'look into' in that case and also
slightly more detail in the face area.

I actually quite like this abstract photo and I'm not usually a fan.. I think it works well for the challenge
and shows a great element of creativity and experimentation.

You got some great comments from voters who appreciated what you tried to achieve... it is not the type of
photo that traditionally does well in challenges though so don't be disappointed by the placing.

I guess that you might be a little disappointed with your placement in this challenge.

There is nothing technically wrong with the photo and it shows an element of creativity and
experimentation that is admirable.

Perhaps this was a poor choice of subject matter in this challenge in that it doesn't yell 'Warm Colors' and therefore
voters will have marked it down.. don't be disheartened.. take a look at the other entries in the challenge
and read the comments... I look forward to seeing future photos from you in future challenges

Great photo.. but if this was taken in 2009 how was it valid for entry in a challenge in August 2010?
