Nicely framed with the bottle in the foreground - I like the composition - I wish the smoke was a little more prominent. It's very well lit - quite nice and I like the decoloring of the photo - it makes it feel like ash.

Very nice idea for the habits challenge - the color is very nice and evocative of any Starbucks in the world. The horizon line seems a little off - the frame feels a few degrees off clockwise. I'm not sure about the framing of the straw going up and off to the right - composition-wise I think it might work better on the other side.

Succinct and understated. I like the off centering of the sign and the rust stains on the door. Could be slightly more saturated - it feels slightly flat.

Nice lighting and shadows, really captures the habit. The skintones are exposed very nicely. The use of negative space in the upper right is very good and contributes to the composition as a whole. The amount of spit in the teeth is a little distracting from the nail biting part.

Nice shot - good framing and composition. The clean, neutral background helps a lot. The actual positioning of the hammer feels a little off (it's not hitting the clock squarely) but that's a minor complaint. It drives home the feeling of snooze alarms.

Stunning. The colors are rich and compelling, the angle of the type on the glass is wonderfully compelling and the DOF gives it an extra kickk.

Wonderfully composed. Elegant. Simple. I'm curious about the lack of color to the photo - it feels a little lifeless without the brown-ness of the cofee. Nicely done - good exposure, DOF and focus.

I like the curve of the smoke very much. The overall composition is a little bland for me - a tighter crop, less glare from the flash would have helped (but I understand lighting smoke is pretty tough). The look of the photo now gives a sense of these habits as unappealing, which works well for the challenge - they're something that you do, but after a while you must do but not necessarily take the same enjoyment from anymore.

Very nicely captured. I like the lighting and the severe use of negative space to give it an eerie quality. The composition is very good and the DOF and focus is spot on.

I like this as a portrait very much. The sepia tone gives it a timeless quality and the trouble expression is really wonderful. The harsh shadow where the hand is at the face is a little distracting - more fill light would help. The focus could be crisper, but it doesn't have to be completely sharp. It seems to capture the habit challenge well - more of the emotion of nail biting than the act of it.
