Paintingby jmritzComment: My first impression was that this was 3D. The Blues & Reds pop off the page, in a good way. Nice!
I can't even paint the town red, let alone use a paintbrush. |

mela fairby whiteroomComment: Very nice. Print or no print, this is better than you realize.
Most of us live most of our settled lives in pretty much one locale, and don't get a chance to get out and experience the world. When I visited countries across the globe while I was in the Navy, I was stuck in landscape photography, tourist kind of shots, never paying attention to the life around me. The life I now seek, and find in your images.
Your images, the lives, the expressions and colors you bring back and share with us are so moving. You have a way of reaching into the soul of those you photograph, and paint them into your shots to tell a story. One can look and sense character. The brain can kick into creative mode with your pictures and one can start to hear music, the routine sounds, the sounds of people laughing, talking, the bustle of activity around the streets, all done by the masses you depict so well in your imaging.
Congrats Lesley. You made a very wise move putting your paintbrushes down for a while in order to do something few can do, and as well. |

rock villiageby whiteroomComment: I just love the depth of field in this.
This is timeless. About the only thing that really says this shot wasn't taken 50-60 years ago, is the hooded sweatshirt the boy is wearing. Quite the story teller you are with your camera. |

stone villageby whiteroomComment: This is one of your better shots of your trip to India.
In all seriousness, this has a National Geographic quality about it.
I can just sit and stare at life like this.
Very nice! |

No wonder you are dumping pics - was coming back to comment on the 30-day florals and the link changed to blurry. Can't find your flowers now.
:(
This one is a bit different btw. Not great, not bad, just different.

A little CCW rotation? I like the presentation and tones. Wish the closer point of the flower up on top was sharper. |

Nope. Somethin' was moving or focus is off. The screams for a re-take, but sharp. |

Never saw anything in nature quite like this. I think you have made the discovery of a new plant and should go on TV.
jk - pretty strange though. |
