Ruinsby BoltiComment: Urban decay in it's finest artistic form.
Point of view is good here, with the diagnonals and perspective leading my eyes right to the main focal point. Sky looks like it took a hit from maybe neat image?
Well seen! |

Only a Picture Nowby trnqltyComment: I see where you were going with this shot and was well seen.
Sharpness/detail is hurting this mage in my opinion, as the right foreground straw is predominant in this picture and it's focus is off/too soft in my opinion. |

Yesterday's Homesteadby bclementsComment: Focal point on this is the horse, being the darker, more prominent object.
Tree/branches ar adding a bit of distraction (in a way, in a way not) in it's current exposure levels. This shot could be so much better if it had been a member challenge and you had the opportunity to burn in some of the wall for instance. |

Empty Roomby GinaRothfelsComment: Sure it's abadoned? Almost looks like a ghost-like figure on the wall, under the window.
Unique point of view, almost like looking through a peep hole. |

An Angels Visitby jenesisComment: Sure appears to meet the challenge to me.
I know it was kind of tough getting that much bright and that much dark in a happy middle. Shame it was an open challenge, as a bit of burning/dodging would have been a big help.
Keep Out huh? Anyone you know?

Pride Cometh...by eqsiteComment: Funny how something could stare one right in the face and not see it.
I looked for a connection to the title and didn't see it at first, trying to pay more attention to the building than anything else.
The crop is a little off with the top of the roof missing. maybe a tighter crop or a wider angle would have helped this out a bit.
Interesting tone, perhaps a bit too yellow, but still effective. |

Inside a facadeby Man_Called_HorseComment: Let's see how I can say this.
I'm not sure the post-processing was done like this on purpose, but the image is far too bright/contrasty in my opinion. The highlights are blown-out (unrecoverable white with no detail in it). Image is a bit tilted to the left also, making it a bit awkward to look at properly.
Shame this was an open challenge as some burning & dodging could bring this one out a lot better. |

Back in the day, the trains...by notbiscuitComment: Well seen and composed.
Shame we don't have all the time in the world to wait until the weather/sky conditions are right. A dark, moody sky would have really helped.
If you have Photoshop, one way to darken the sky a bit would be to go into the selective colors, drop-down to the white and move the black slider over and watch what happens. All legal as it is doing to all the white in the image. |

Vultures and the remains of a train stationby itripnComment: I passed by this on the first go-around, voting only, as needed to come back to it.
That being done, the post-processing used here makes this look like a 40-50 yer photograph. Well seen ! |

Forgottenby shadowangelComment: Mixed feelings on this one.
The building is horizontal, yet the crop is vertical. Kinda' throws things off in my opinion.
Well seen though and good use of the horizonatls breaking up the shot. |
