There's a certain magic in her eyes. At first, I found the natural, and multiple catchlights in her eyes distracting, but after a few seconds absorbing her communication in her eyes, no longer see them as a distraction. (if that makes any sense) Precious shot, worthy of a nice mat & frame, on the wall, in her home.
Have you considered doing this in black & white?
Often the colors are a distracting element and our brains work harder studying them, then absorbing the emotions in an image.

I know that not all abstracts need a strong focal point, but seems like the upper & lower portions of this are competeing for my attention.

This is nearly hypnotic and seems like there is a never-ending "something" somewhere to look at, which normally would hurt a shot, but in this layout, it works quite well.
