Summer Means, Time To Hit The Courtsby NicNic101Comment: It's a nice idea an an appropriate news story, but I really doubt you could find many photo editors who would use a photo with the focus on the net. Photographically - I do like it - but I'm not a photo editor. The bright red object in the background is a bit overpowering. |

Taxi Fair Hike Benefits More Than Just Taxi Driversby dimitriiComment: Excellent "classic" newpaper look and feel. Good use of shutter speed and grain. My only complaint is that it's so dead center, Crop of about 3/4 of the distance from the left edge and the whitish cab and you have a much stronger image. Oh - and get a better proof reader as " Fair" should be FARE! But then again - if you are imiitating modern newspapers - maybe that was intentional! Nice job. |

"See Spot. See Spot Run. See Spot Network"by basia03Comment: Exposure is right on in very overcast (I assume) flat lighting. The dog in the foreground is dead center - not to my taste. (You could ealily crop from the left to about where the little guy in the red trunks is - without huring the image.) The title is cutesy - but I doubt if an editor would buy into it. |

This Just In! Summer's Here...Relax...by TranquilComment: As news, it is a real stretch - except for small town newspapers - but that's OK! Great idea, nice exposure and viewpoint. The composition - with the massive OOF in the very foreground was not your best choice. Crop the bottom to the wooden stick and I'd bet you will like it better. |
