I think the shallow DOF focusing on the bait/trigger mechansim is very good. Personal experience with shallow DOF on DPC tells me you will get some negative comments for it. 7

Good take on the challenge. I might mention that I am partial to PSE as I used to shoot tournament archery with in the unlimited free style division using a PSE Laser. That was a long time ago....

The subject is good for mechanical. The choice of background could be better, IMO. It overpowers the subject.

I like this shot. The first thing that came to my mind was how much more effective it would have been if the child was facing the camera and looking up because the impression I get is that the photo is taken from the Father's perspective.
