Lullaby Laneby ShakeyComment: Nice image, very emotive. I don't know that I would call these road signs though. |

1874 ~ 2004by glad2badadComment: I like your choice of the old decaying wood surface - this little detail makes the shot for me. 9 |

Boatsby biggood53Comment: maybe I don't know boats very well, but I don't get the old and new part here. I see large and small.... Benefit of doubt = 5 |

minersby vfischerComment: I'm sure with your inside knowledge, there is old and new here, but it just doesn't come through to me. Other than that, the photo is very beautiful. |

Picture of the Pastby eaemthomasComment: I think the contrast of old and new is good but to be blunt, a little uninteresting. I think your choice of background is too distracting with all the textures. Maybe if you have moved the cameras away and used a shallow DOF to blur it, it would have been better. As it is, it reflects the flash in a distracting way. I like that you've placed the film canisters around the foreground for interest, but shouldn't the ones in front of the Spartus have been 120's [ not knocking you for that ;) ]. I'm giving this image a 5. |

Nostalgiaby fplouffeComment: Good shot, right on the challenge. My only nit is all the dust particles. 7 |

Grandfather's Voigtlander vs Grandson's Nikonby nsmithComment: The old and new part is fine. The compostion is a little disconnected for me. It appears as if you are trying to keep them separate via the use of the frame, but for me the frame is a distracting element. |
