(but it was a nice idea to contrast new and old. The lighting needed to be a bit better as it is hard to see details (but that may be due to the focus).

Rust and Rustproofby lear202btComment: Nice contrast of subjects, but I wish there was more contrast in color. It is there, just not as sharp as I would have preferred. I would have also preferred the DOF to be a bit larger to include all of the subject or a lot shorter to include only a small portion (but this is a matter of personal taste).

Queen and her Guardsby soccerdadComment: Interesting looking candle holders. I like the subjects, but the straight-on shot robs the depth and textures I think. A different perspctive might have worked better.

Rusty Barrelby HBunchComment: Good colors, but there is a spo ton the flower and on a couple of blades of grass that are too hot on my monitor. The actual rusted object is almost too dark to tell it is rusted, and is a bit out of focus. I can't help but think a different angle with the flower contrasting against the rust would have helped the shot. |
