Iwo Jima Remembered by blemtComment: Congratulations on your first ribbon! It is well deserved as your picture is lovely and emotive. The monument in the backgroud in soft focus really adds to the feeling of the shot. |

Complex Carvingby sndsgnl1Comment: Very interesting subject. I really like the texture visible in your picture and the color is lovely as well. I'm not really keen on the lighting, since it's coming from the back it obscures the front part of this interesting jade bead. Also the shadow in the lower right corner is odd. I think this centered composition would work better if it were cropped in closer on the sides making the picture square. |

skeleton keyby shutterflyComment: Interesting subject, nice composition and good lighting. I really like the texture that shows on the round part of the key that is in focus. To me, your picture would have been so much more interesting if more of the key had been in focus. |

Good Morning Mr. Squirrelby browntComment: Very cute picture of a squirrel in it's natural environment. It might have been nice to crop it so the squirrel ended up more to the left in the frame. |

Wise Old Owlby SonifoComment: One of my favorites in the challenge. I love the look on the owl's face. Some of the old buildings around here have owls in them but I've never been able to get a picture of one. Great job! |

Airby arngrimurComment: Your picture does really have a nice airy feel to it. To my eyes, it might have been a bit better if the bird had been a bit more clearly defined with not quite as much motion blur. |
