Nature's Dramaby NeilComment: One of my favorites in the challenge which I honestly believed would finish in the top three. The array of colours in this one is simply stunning, as is the composition and the technical aspects of the image.
Great job my friend... keep them coming.

Columbian Fireby DrAchooComment: Well, I had this finishing in the top 3 but it seems I was wrong again. Wonderful job on this one, which I added to my favorites.

Potato Lake, Wisconsinby alexjackComment: This is truly a very nice image that normally would do quite well. However, considering the Challenge Topic you might have to settle for a score a tad lower than you would normally expect for an image of this quality.
This is indeed a clear, well lit image with spot on focus, but an image depicting something normally associated with the "Sea" it isn't. Good luck to you. |

A Sharp Entranceby RulerZigzagComment: I really like the contrast in this image and wonder if it might have been possible to open the gate on the right hand side just a bit more.
I do believe that the leading lines created by the open gates coupled by the sharp contrast in the lighting of the bridge would have added to what is already a very nice image.
Great shot... keep up the good work.

Tater's Pimp Houseby Art RoflmaoComment: You truly do crack me up...
Had a rough day at work... visit Ken's portfolio... You are bound to find something to make you laugh, lift your spirits and make you feel great.
I was thinking of adding this to my "Favs" list, but how would I explain the sheep and stuff to the kids.

Where's the Troll?by jasonlpriceComment: You sir were robbed. I gave this one a 9 and honestly believe it should have ended up at the very least on the first page. I guess some folks had a hard time finding Waldo in your image. Very clever, well executed and still one of my favorites. |

We'll Always Rememberby walrus451Comment: I simply love the juxtaposition presented in this image... colourful vs bland ... live vs death. A great image that conveys a very emotive and powerful message. Well done. |

Blue Eyed Cousinsby JewellyComment: I normally don't care all that much for images of children, but you have truly captured an image that will withstand the test of time. The focus, DOF and lighting of this image are spot on, and one can almost feel the love these two have for each other.
This is a definite keeper, and as time passes, you and these two lovely young ladies will re-visit the innocence of youth and smile, remembering that it is the simple things in life that bring the greatest joy. Well done indeed. |

Glowby BeetleComment: I do hope you won't mind... I took the liberty of fixing your link.
Very nice set up...Now I understand what it is that you were referring to. I don't do much sewing and had no idea what "Plastic Press Studs" are, but I do now.
Thanks for sharing.

rusted-garden-glass.jpgby bergiekatComment: The focus and DOF for this image are spot on. Since we all have our own personal preferences, the following are things that I would have changed to meet mine.
I think I would have cropped the image differently so as to either include all of the four clusters of balls or focus specifically on one or two of them. As things stand right now, three of the four groupings are partially cut off and there is no true sense of balance to the image.
The lighting is quite good, but there is a large shadow in the center of the image, perhaps caused by the photographer casting a shadow on the subject matter. The shadow is not inherently bad however, as it does darken the metal rings, thereby drawing one's attention to the primary subject matter.
All this to say... "I like it"
