From Holy Ground Upby scarbrdComment: I do believe we might just see this image on the front page. The focus, DOF, composition, lighting and vibrant colours all combine to make this a truly remarkable image. Congratulations to for producing this piece of art, and the very best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Bluesby LuguerComment: This is a different perspective on the challenge description, but I do like it. The DOF and focus are spot on, as is the lighting. My only picayune is with the presence of the wrinkles in your backdrop... not a big factor mind you, but enough to be a distraction in what is otherwise a very well executed photo. |

Symmetryby anotherdayComment: A fairly nice image, but certainly not from the "Ground Up" perspective. While the lighting is really great in the upper half, the bottom half is quite dark and unfortunately some of the details are lost. I will assume you used a very wide angle lens for this image, which makes the walls look slanted. Good luck. |

800_7458corah9wks.jpgby ShutterPugComment: You truly do have a knack for taking really great animal shots. It is truly remarkable how you managed to capture that forlorn look on that poor prisoner who seemingly craves his freedom.
I do believe I see another card in the offing. Well done indeed.

Fallen Flowerby C4PicturesComment: A beautiful image that offers a refreshing take on the challenge topic. The vibrant colours against the somber background, coupled with the DOF and focus all combine to make this a very attractive image. Well done. |

Larger Than Lifeby MaryOComment: The focus in the image seems a tad soft, but the major problem lies in the fact that you took this image in the blazing sunlight. The presence of the sunspot does little to enhance this image, nor does the presence of the tree between the horse's legs. Good luck. |

Climbingby ScapeshotsComment: I am quite intrigued as to why the landing gear is deployed with the aircraft in this position. A very nice image, but I find the pink hue at the edge of the clouds to be a distraction. Very nice stop action on this one. Good luck

Choose your own point of view...by GabrielComment: First image I have looked at in this challenge and I must say I do really like this novel approach and the options you give to the viewer. My only criticism rests in the fact that I find the encroachment of the sunlight in the lower left hand side a distraction. Nicely done, and good luck with the challenge. |

Curlicues by noranekoComment: Definitely one of the better images I have seen to date. The DOF, clarity, balance and details captured in this photo should generate a very good score in this challenge. The very best of luck to you. |

Alone at the beach!by DantzrComment: While I can appreciate that you wanted to incorporate some of the more prominent buildings on the beach, the placement of the tree in the middle of the image does little to enhance the photo. You might also want to align the horizon as it seems to tilt significantly to the right. |
