Business As Usualby frumoazniculComment: Scores as usual. This is a workmanlike image and feels well into the middle of the pack of bug shots. Hope you apply your mastery of camera and comp to lots of future challenges. |

Feeding the Squirelsby TooCoolComment: Wow! What a great image. I really really like the DOF here. Colors are dramatic. Focus and DOF is terrific. Interesting use of negative space. I can find little to criticize or suggestions to improve. Did I mention DOF is outstanding? Hope it ribbons. |

Peppercorn Blendby OneSweetSinComment: Interesting subject because of colors and textures. Nice comp. Lighting seems flat. Perhaps multiple light sources would have added depth. |

Preying Mantisby David.CComment: Nice job on yet another bug. Your choice of background is especially strong. Contrast with head and eyes is powerful. Good focus and DOF. Among the best bug shots. |

Ladybugsby hopperComment: You could associate this image with "Action" and "Nude" catagories as well as Macro. (LOL) Seriously, a nicely composed and captured image. I like the reflections and shadows. DOF is very good. |

Rootsby TommyMoe21Comment: A technically perfect image but the subject doesn't resonate much with me. You've obviously mastered the camera and composition, I hope you'll apply these talents to lots of other challenges. |

Damsel at Restby newtune3Comment: At least it's not a bee, or a fly. Thanks for that. I think that this would be better if the bug were in sharper focus. It looks like the focus on the tail is perfect but DOF so shallow the head and eyes are slightly out of focus. Greater DOF would improve it. |
